Statement from Stop the Spread: Stop the Spread condemns the injustice of racism and stands with the black community. As we work to catalyze COVID-19 response, we see firsthand the disproportionate and devastating impact shouldered by the black community, which results from and compounds ongoing systemic inequities. We commit, this week and beyond, to listening, learning, and using our work and voices for justice.

Stop the Spread has fulfilled its charter as of December 2021. This website has been frozen but will remain available through 2022.

PHILANTHROPISTS AND IMPACT INVESTORS

With limited government funding available to address the evolving needs of a pandemic, there's a unique opportunity for individuals, family offices and community and corporate foundations to support  hyperlocal work and provide grant funding to nonprofit partners. 

We work side-by-side with our partner organizations to understand their financing needs and quickly deploy grants and investments where funding is needed most. We're equipped to provide financing across a range of investment structures, from working capital loans to seed stage equity and growth capital.

COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS

We support underserved communities nationwide with a full toolkit of pandemic response solutions, digital health and tech-enabled healthcare services. We address gaps in access to care that have been exacerbated by COVID-19.

Our focus is hyperlocal. We support communities that have been hit especially hard by the pandemic with a lens towards communities of color. Our support encompasses the following:‍

  • Match-making with free or low-cost solutions providers
  • Facilitation of programmatic funding
  • Sharing of best practices in pandemic response

NOVEL SOLUTION PROVIDERS

If you are an organization with a focus on combatting COVID-19, we're here to help you increase your reach and impact with our resources, institutional knowledge and access to capital.  We seek to add value independent of and prior to capital deployment. We are interested in:

  • Solutions addressing novel diagnostics that address needs for affordability and accessibility in surveillance, screening and testing
  • Opportunities in novel therapeutics that leverage generics for low-cost scalable solutions 
  • Organizations looking to address the PPE shortfall, access issues and increase domestic production
  • Companies addressing complexities of vaccine distribution
  • Digital health providers leveraging technology to address healthcare inequities
